Humanities Program, Creative Writing Option, A.A.
This option provides the writing skills and general studies to establish a foundation in creative writing across genres with greater depth in genres of interest. It will prepare students for transfer to English, Literature, or Creative Writing programs at the four-year college level. The option also allows students to embrace their creativity and expand their minds, making them well positioned to envision and adapt to the careers of the future. This will prepare students for positions in fields where creative thinking and writing are of value such as developing web content, social media, gaming, marketing, advertising, journalism, publishing, education, and working as an author.
