HOS 101 - Introductions for the Hospitality Freshman HOS 101 - Introductions for the Hospitality Freshman * This is a blended course. An introduction to college life and the hospitality industry for the beginning student in the Hospitality Department. Familiarity with characteristics of the hospitality and tourism industry as well as hospitality industry sustainability and corporate responsibility are stressed. Study of current trends and issues using a daily or weekly hospitality publication and Introduction to the Hospitality Industry text. College and departmental policies and procedures, academic advisement and registration, study skills, transfer and employment, career navigation and mapping; work ethic; college and departmental resources.
