107 www.cmcc.edu 2026 • 2027 Medical Coding and Electronic Health Records (MCO) (ALSO AVAILABLE 100% ONLINE) Program Description The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Medical Coding and Electronic Health Records is designed to provide students with the appropriate skill set to enter the medical coding profession. Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level coding positions through coursework in medical terminology, health records management, coding classification systems and reimbursement methods. The program prepares students for upper division coursework at universities and colleges where a bachelor’s degree is desired.
