ENG101A — Academic Writing and Research 1

3 credit hours - Three hours lecture weekly; one term. This course meets the English Composition General Education Requirement. Learn critical writing, reading, and thinking strategies. Write multiple essays, culminating in an instructor-guided research paper. Analyze a variety of texts and identify their cultural, historical, and social contexts. Develop foundational information literacy, academic research, and documentation skills. Note: A grade of C or better is required to satisfy the general education requirement. Credit is not given for both ENG 101A and ENG 101 or ENG 101A and ENG 101H .
