B.F.A. in Art, Studio Arts Option

The BFA in Studio Arts option is 4-year professional degree composed of both required and elective courses within the School and supporting courses from the other departments of the College of Arts and Architecture and the University. The freshman year includes an introduction to foundational design skills, introduction to Adobe CC, Drawing, 2D and 3D skills and survey of art history. The sophomore year focuses on selecting a major medium in one of the following areas, Printmaking, Painting, Ceramics, Metals, Drawing or Sculpture. The remaining semesters focus on developing a profession practice and working independently.
